OK, if you guys are that upset about the "state of the board," I suggest you do something about it! Don't let a bunch of 12 year olds and a few ill mannered assholes, run you off! It's your home, as much as it is theirs. Only difference? You follow the rules, they don't!

My suggestion to you, e-mail, e-mail, e-mail! Make your voice heard! Let them know how you feel! Don't walk away and call it quits! You do, they win! Tell everyone to e-mail the mods, all of them and rock their worlds! I have a feeling, they're just waiting to hear from you!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying go back and forget this place, because I'm not. John knows that better than anyone here. To me, this board is a very special place. A place where the ol' folk can come together and bullshit, make plans...whatever and do it amongst ourselves.

I've known most of you for quite a long time now. I've invited you into my home! That's not something I do lightly, either! So, I expect you to heed my words. well, I don't know if everyone has given up on the other board persay...some of us still post there. It's just grown so much in the last few years that it's hard to sift through everything. That's what's great about this board - a small group that KNOWS each other.

But Steve - what about my original question? Does Jon Goff actually have any real inupt you know of with the toy department? I meant this more as a general question, not a put down to Jon. I just got the impression that he wasn't really involved with the toys other than moderating the board....

All licensing is done in Tempe, where Jon works. Jon is very active in voicing the wants and requests of the board population. I hear him do it in every single planning meeting that they have. Ultimately, all the decisions are made with Todd and licensing. Jon's role is basically as a conduit of information to Todd's ear and he performs that role.

Does he have any "pull" in what gets made? Probably no more than the rest of us, but that's not really what he's here for.

As for moderating the boards, I don't see where it's any different than when Brad was here. If it were up to ME, I'd take it back to the way it used to be when it was fun and the bullshit was kept to a minimum. Not my call, unfortunately. HTH.

They are not 'running' me off! I just ignore the real stupid ass threads.
As for Jon,he has answered e-mails from me and was quite informative in answering my Questions.
His updates are pretty good considering he can't let alot out of the bag(we'll let other websites do that [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) and it seems he puts alot of work in most of them.
As for the other people on the Spawn Board,what are ya gonna do,it's open to anyone,they can say what they want(it seems),I'm quite sure you can't ban someone for postin like a moron(cause I woulda been banned a long time ago)
I'll just ignore the threads I have no interest in(which is MOST lately)
But I'm not QUITING the other boards cause it's overtaken by kids,they don't know any better yet,they'll grow up after awhile,but i'm not waiting for that,I'm 42,time runnin out for me [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img]

You know what? Steve's right. Although this board is really fuckin' great, THAT board is where we all met. I'm not giving up on THAT board. Maybe he knows something we don't, so if he says to e-mail them and let them know how we feel, I'M E-MAILING THEM! Think about it, if EVERYONE of us let them know how we feel AND WHY WE DON'T BOTHER COMING AROUND ANYMORE, they will listen.
I don't want it to become a totally rigid and un-fun board, but THAT board needs an enema!
